Student Chapters

Soul of Medicine Students

Chicago PSR values our student activists.  Nationwide, we are proud to be the home of the most active and largest student PSR efforts.  While PSR focuses on medical students, student chapters are open to all health professional and non-health professional students.

Chicago now has 4 active student chapters, one at the University of Illinois at Chicago’s College of Medicine (UIC), one at Northwestern’s Feinberg School of Medicine (NU), one at Rosalind Franklin University’s School of Medicine and one at the University of Chicago’s Pritzker School of Medicine. Each student chapter has an active board and plans several events each year including noontime lectures, campus greening initiatives, the annual Soul of Medicine dinner and the upcoming medical students sustainability summit.

Membership in Chicago PSR is free and open to all those concerned with the negative health effects of climate change and other global public health threats, and Chicago PSR is happy to help students start PSR chapters at additional schools. Chicago PSR knows that while health professionals have busy schedules, activism can help shape an individual’s career and help change the world. We welcome interested persons who would like to participate in Chicago PSR’s activities.
